Sam and Jessica first met and earned their undergraduate degrees at Dartmouth College. Both attended Columbia University. Sam earned his masters degree from Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism. Jessica earned her Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School. The couple live in Washington, D.C.
Sam has worked for Newsweek magazine, the New York Daily News and the investigative journalism group Center for Public Integrity.
